During the public comment period, Holly McDorman of Ward 6 told councilmembers many constituents "don't feel listened to" and that some residents are afraid to speak at meetings because they believe it is a "waste of 3 minutes." She asked councilmembers facing re-election to reach out and speak directly with residents.
McDorman also urged the council to ensure people who are unhoused get help as weather turns colder and invited a councilmember (Mister Miller) to assist with meals or shelter. She closed by praising the public library and urging continued funding and community support.
