Mr. Hansen said staff "recommends approval of the purchase of the playground equipment for the future park at the Cook School property in the amount of a $111,018.30." He added that the total equipment cost including freight is $192,004.88 and that a GameTime Community Champions grant/discount will provide $81,469.70.
Staff also said the purchase is part of a larger funded renovation and that the city expects to be reimbursed for 50% of the city's share using ASLAD grant funds. On the project timeline, staff and Mr. Miles said construction is likely to start in spring with wrap-up by next fall. Council approved the purchase by recorded vote.
