A proposed ordinance (24-1025) that would have limited video gaming licenses was discussed on Nov. 18 but did not receive an immediate second when first called. Legal counsel and staff advised the proposal would remain on the agenda for the next meeting unless council action was taken.
Council later moved to consider and then to table the item so staff could complete modifications and return in December. Mayor's remarks and council procedure guidance explained tabling under Robert's Rules moves the question to the next meeting; the motion to table carried by a recorded 7-0 vote. On the record, a councilmember identified as the mover for tabling was Mr. Miller and the seconder was Mr. Hicks.
