At 9:30 a.m. Megan Payne, director of One Unique Recovery House, appeared before the Commission to describe the nonprofit’s services to Upshur County and surrounding areas and to request $10,000.00 in emergency funding assistance after being notified that AmeriCorps funding for two Peer Recovery Support Specialist positions had been abruptly lost.
Payne outlined services the organization provides and said the emergency funding was intended to bridge a funding gap while the organization transitions to a new funding model.
