The West Linn‑Wilsonville School Board voted unanimously to approve a collective bargaining agreement with the Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA) covering the 2026–2028 school years.
HR Director Shyla Waldron outlined the negotiations and said the district and OSEA met 11 times beginning April 13 and concluding with a final session on June 17, 2026. "We met a total of 11 times starting April 13 with our final session on Wednesday, 06/17/2026," Waldron said, and provided the board a memo that summarized the major language changes and financial aspects of the agreement. Director Sloane moved to accept the agreement and Director Silvaggio seconded.
Board members thanked both bargaining teams for working "in extremely good faith," and emphasized a shared interest in restoring concessions when the district’s budget improves. After discussion and questions about contract details, the board called the roll and the motion passed with recorded aye votes in the transcript from Directors Wyatt, Salvaggio, Vidal, Vice Chair Sloop and Chair Shoemaker; the chair announced the motion passed unanimously.
The contract approval followed a notice that the board had met earlier in executive session under ORS 192.660(2)(d) to discuss the collective bargaining matter. HR Director Waldron will continue to be the district contact for implementation details; the board did not record additional formal directions beyond approval.
