The Woodstock Select Board read four motions and voted to enter executive session with counsel James Carroll, Esq. to discuss confidential attorney-client matters: payments made by the town in fiscal year 2024-25 involving legal fees; a 06/17/2026 document request; and the process for conducting the municipal manager's annual review. Each motion was moved, seconded, and recorded in the meeting as approved.
Following the executive-session motions, the board stated, "We are in executive session," and subsequently reported that no action was taken while in executive session. The Chair announced the attorney-fee matter will be on the board's July 7 agenda for further consideration.
The Clerk read the motions on the record citing that premature disclosure of attorney-client communications would place the Select Board and the town of Woodstock at a substantial disadvantage and named the specific matters to be discussed confidentially. No formal votes on policy or personnel changes were recorded during open session.
