"We do have a $1,250,000 waterline funding allocation that we are waiting on, but, and because it was in a previously passed budget bill, it's not at risk of being cut, we think," Bialystoski said, adding that the state money and federal allocation will pay for a seismically secure water line to serve the city for decades. He also noted the city is conducting a rate analysis and balancing charter limits on utility‑rate increases as it plans long‑term water investments.
