Lance Addison, the district’s director of facility planning and construction, presented detailed facilities work planned and completed across the district, emphasizing safety, longevity and deferred‑maintenance needs.
Addison highlighted recent completions: a Wilkinson Elementary roof replacement completed June 2026 at a final cost of $380,000; Clay High School’s main building project completed July 2025 with a final cost of $625,000; and a Ridgeview Elementary playground project completed June 2025 at $347,000. He described other projects in planning or underway including restroom renovations, bleacher replacements, reductions in portable classrooms, CTE lab upgrades, fire‑alarm replacements, drainage and stormwater work, parking‑lot improvements, interior and exterior LED lighting for safety, roofing replacements and HVAC work.
Addison said the district is prioritizing upgrades that reduce safety risks (leaky roofs, aging playground equipment, gym floors needing refinishing) and improve student experience. He pointed to a larger program of capital projects (packet totals and color‑coded lists were in materials provided to the board) and invited board members and the public to review the EFP packet for project‑by‑project details.
