Council authorizes grant applications for law‑enforcement mental‑health program and $10M water infrastructure grant application

Nicholas Cook, Assistant Director of Utilities, presented a WSIG grant application to the Texas Water Development Board for the Mustang Bayou service‑area ground storage tank and chemical improvements. Cook said the project’s estimated cost is about $10,500,000 and that the project is eligible for up to $10,000,000 under the program; he noted that if awarded the city would cover an estimated $500,000 from the construction fund balance. Council approved both resolutions unanimously.
