The presentation covered activity from Oct. 2025 through April 30, 2026, and listed 43 pre‑development meetings and 16 new zoning applications during the reporting period compared with two the prior year.
The presenter reported operational counts including 76 residential certificates of occupancy issued inside city limits, 127 nonresidential COs and 146 residential COs in the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ), 59 major/minor level‑2 permits, nearly 3,000 level‑1 permits, and more than 8,500 inspections. Staff said development generated “approximately 1,160,000 in permit fee revenue” and listed notable projects including Harmony Elementary School, City Park Warehouse Building 7, renovations at Fort Bend ISD schools (including Hightower High School) and the expansion of Sugar Creek Baptist Church.
