Suffolk County Department of Public Works and the Department of Economic Development presented a proposed new bus route to connect the Farmingdale Railroad Station with Route 110. The routing proposed heads west on NY 24 from Route 110, north on Vogel Way, then west on Eastern Parkway where a new bus stop would be created using 5–6 on-street daily parking spaces at the curb, then proceeds south on Secatogue Avenue and east on NY 24 back to Route 110.
The Board of Trustees unanimously agreed the connector would benefit commuters and Village residents and signaled support for the proposal while routing and safety details continue to be refined with county staff.
