Verizon proposes antennas on Palmer’s Shopping Center clock tower; board requests closer renderings

Denise Vista of the Amato Law Group presented Verizon’s pre-conference plans to install multiple communications antennas on the clock tower at Palmer’s Shopping Center and said the project would include a new, larger clock intended to enhance the tower’s appearance.
The Board was told structural and engineering analysis is being prepared by Dvirka & Bartilucci. Trustees asked for a closer rendering of the proposed installation to verify that the antennas would be adequately camouflaged and that the project would preserve the tower’s aesthetic value. The minutes record that the timing of the required public hearing will depend on the submission of outstanding information. The Building Department later recorded receipt of Verizon’s resubmission and scheduled the public hearing for Jan. 6, 2025.
