City moves to formalize advisory-group work plans and liaison reporting

Staff said the templates would align each CAG's year of work to council priorities, clarify how groups request modest funding and identify staff support responsibilities.
"These work plans would be guided primarily by your priorities," a staff member said, noting that the approach should help volunteer advisory bodies focus and make more efficient use of staff time. Council members and CAG representatives welcomed the idea, asking about typical budget categories (events, outreach materials, small consultant contracts) and suggesting a possible annual appreciation event for volunteers.
Staff proposed piloting draft work plans for the Sustainability Advisory Board and other CAGs, circulating them for liaison and staff review, and returning to council for formal approval in coming months. Council signaled consensus to proceed with developing those draft work plans and using the liaison report form to standardize meeting feedback.
