Speakers from HOAs and the American Lake Improvement Club said public education is essential to secure support for any future funding or charter changes. "If this is really going to work, we need to have a plan on how to make a plan," one resident said, urging materials, lectures and yard signs to reach shoreline owners who are not on email lists.
The ALIC offered to use print (a monthly magazine slot) and volunteer networks to help spread information, and several residents proposed a steering or working committee to coordinate outreach. The board asked staff to collect specific communications proposals and to include outreach options on the next listening-session agenda.
