Hope staff set FY27 budget timeline, school special meeting and note administrator's upcoming medical leave

At the March 24 meeting, staff reminded the Select Board that nomination papers are available and must be returned by 4:30 p.m. on April 9. They also said the School Committee needs to present its budget by the week of April 9 to meet deadlines and that a special town meeting to vote on the Hope Elementary School budget is scheduled for Thursday, May 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the Hope Elementary School.
The speaker announced they will begin medical leave on April 14 and plan to work remotely for a few weeks afterward, and said they will keep the board updated on their progress. Staff also recommended the Select Board might consider a separate budget workshop prior to budget-committee meetings as staff gathers components for the FY27 budget.
