The Planning Commission approved SUP352025 for Bliss Car Wash on Aug. 13, with a condition limiting hours of operation to 7 AM–9 PM. Planning staff had recommended approval subject to conditions, including perimeter landscaping, relocated or additional trash enclosures, and a suggested hours window of 7 AM–10 PM.
Lexa Green, representing Bliss Car Wash, described a two-tunnel wash centered on the site with queuing oriented away from residential areas and an office building on the south edge to provide additional buffering. The applicant accepted the commission's amended hours condition. "We are accepting of that condition," Green said.
During discussion, a commissioner highlighted environmental practices Bliss uses: "they're using a 100% biodegradable cleaning products, but their water reclamation system does recycle up to 70% of the water that's being used," and noted the company makes a philanthropic donation tied to new locations. Another commissioner argued nearby car-wash locations close at 9 PM and suggested consistency; the motion to approve with the 9 PM limit passed by voice vote.
