The Planning Commission approved preliminary and final development plans for the Woodmeier pool and amenity area (PDP 2026‑11 / DEV 2026‑28) on June 8, clearing the way for construction of a clubhouse, pool, pickleball court, pavilion and parking at the southeast corner of 181st Street and Quivira Road.
Staff said the project meets ordinance requirements for landscape screening, sidewalks and parking; the applicant (Shiligo and Associates / Jeff Skidmore) confirmed agreement with stipulations A–I. Commissioners asked about the proximity of the pickleball courts to homes and were told the nearest residence is approximately 125–150 feet away after setbacks and rights-of-way are counted. Commissioner Masilonis moved approval and the commission voted 10–0.
The items will proceed through the normal final-development construction permit process; staff will continue technical reviews of lighting and landscape details at the FDP stage.
