A project update on the city's new training facility showed footing and foundation work completed, with underground mechanical, electrical and plumbing approximately 50% finished and stormwater and sanitary utilities about 20% complete. "The underground mechanical, electrical, and plumbing are underway and is about 50% complete," the police presenter said during the briefing.
Committee members asked staff to track timelines and to work on final wording in strategic documents tying the training center opening to operational and budget planning. No formal action on the training facility was required at the committee meeting; staff said they will return with additional schedule and implementation details as construction progresses.
