Aaron Gooch presented the staff recommendation, noting the property is zoned RP-6 high-rise apartment and that the police department reported no significant issues with the operation during the prior three-year permit period. Seth Rees, representing the owner Price Brothers, told the commission he was available to answer questions and that the owner agreed with the renewal application.
Commissioner Strauss, who lives near the development, said he has not observed intoxication issues around the property and moved approval. The commission adopted the motion with no recorded opposition.
The item will proceed to the city council on July 6; staff said anyone wishing to speak at that meeting should register using the public-comment form on the council agenda.
