City staff told the council that Bike Share KC is partnering with Overland Park to deploy approximately 60 shareable electric bikes this summer, with stations concentrated near Metcalf and at community hubs such as Matross Community Center, Row Park and the Overland Park Convention Center.
Council president Cheatham noted that bikes will be available through the Bike Share KC app and that invitations for a ribbon cutting will arrive shortly. City staff said riders can expect stations to operate seasonally (early spring to early winter) and that the city is promoting the service alongside a new mobility hub at the north end of the Convention Center and an Airport link that opened the same day.
