Committee approves targeted mailer plan to request neighborhood tree interest

"We are going to send mailers out to folks with return postage...There's also a QR code that'll take you directly to the form," the member said. He estimated postage at "75¢ a letter now," and explained that sending 500 letters would cost roughly the equivalent of two trees in outreach spend but would likely yield enough requests to justify the expense.
The committee agreed the mailers would include multiple response methods — mail, phone, web form or in-person — to increase accessibility and response rates. Members asked staff to proceed with preparing the mailer list and distribution this week.
