Township engineering staff said PA American submitted land-development applications for a new booster pump station on Big Ridge Drive, about a quarter-mile north of Onside Drive. Because the project includes above-ground building components, staff said it qualifies as a major utility facility that requires conditional-use review.
Supervisors scheduled the conditional-use hearing for Sept. 10 to allow the township and planning commission time to review the application; David noted the application date of July 14 triggers a 60-day review window that makes the Sept. 10 hearing date appropriate. No substantive decision was made July 30; the hearing will consider site plans and conditions for the proposed utility facility.
