Committee to plant America 250 tree at American Heritage Park; dedication planned for early October

"We are going to plant it. We are gonna have a ceremony the 1st week of October," Zane said, adding the city gave a window from September through November but prefers the first week of October for the dedication.
Chair said the committee would purchase a 9-by-14 engraved granite stone from Ralston Art Memorial to place at the tree base and estimated the marker would cost "about $450." Planting will be coordinated with Brian and the city will cover planting charges as part of the committee's budget for the dedication.
