Council approves amended firefighters contract covering 2025'2028

Council reviewed and approved an amended labor contract with the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 25 94. Staff said attorneys for both parties revised language to fully reflect negotiated and previously approved terms and simplify contract application.
The presenter told council the firefighters had voted to approve the amended contract and that the new contract "remains effective for the period 01/01/2025 through 12/31/2028." Council moved and seconded the item and approved the amendment unanimously.
Clerk Treasurer Stonecipher and council members thanked the fire union and staff for smooth negotiations during council comments following the vote.
