On March 18 the Clarksville Town Council passed Ordinance 2025‑G‑11, authorizing closure of eight grant accounts that staff said met dormancy criteria and directing transfers of remaining balances to appropriate funds.
Staff explained that certain grants require funds to be held in separate accounts and that when grant timelines end or balances fall below usable thresholds the accounts must be closed and funds moved. "8 funds have been identified meeting this criteria and require council action to transfer the balances to other funds and to authorize the accounts to be closed," staff said. Council voted unanimously on the ordinance's first and second readings during the meeting.
