The Clarksville Town Council approved ordinances to annex a group of properties tied to the River Heritage Conservancy's Origin Park project, including addresses on Emery Crossing Road and McCullough Pike.
Staff said the parcels are the "3rd group of properties" in the annexation series and that upon annexation the land will be zoned West Riverfront District and placed in Town Council District 1. The staff report noted the petition for one of the small parcels had been received in January and that the parcels range from a 0.11-acre piece to larger tracts. The council approved the ordinance on both first and second readings by unanimous voice vote.
Staff advised that, by Indiana code, the required public-notice and waiting periods have been observed and that an ordinance formalizing the earlier public hearings will appear on the council's March 4 agenda for any final procedural steps still required.
