He said staff discovered Jeffersonville’s original proposal included costs for animal-control services and that revised figures reduce Clarksville’s share; he also reported outreach to Charlestown and New Albany and said New Albany has set aside money to build a new shelter.
Beatty told the council he was not seeking action but wanted members to be aware of continuing negotiations and adjustments to the allocation tables; councilors had no substantive questions and the item was left for further review before a potential ordinance in early February.
