Staff reports OEM request and AIPP extension; funds remain available for county projects

"We've only had one request from our OEM department about purchasing art for their new building that's currently under construction," staff said, and added the state coordinator "was able to give us an extension" on funds that were scheduled to expire June 30. Staff did not provide the exact new expiration date in the meeting but said it would follow up with the specific date and other details.
Board members asked about the process for art acquisition and whether the board would need to approve departmental selections in advance. Staff explained that facilities previously oversaw the money for art but that future departmental requests will be brought before the board for approval and that staff will present recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners when appropriate.
