Municipal manager Eric reported that the select board previously appointed an engineering firm and an environmental consultant to complete required assessments for the town’s water-project grant. He said those teams have been working for several months and the town expects to submit materials to the state for approval, with an update expected within roughly 30 days.
Eric also announced the town received a $30,000 grant to design a runoff pond near the Bridal Cobb area to manage stormwater; if the design is approved, the town plans to pursue a $100,000 construction grant next year. He told trustees the intent is to schedule major work at night where possible to minimize disruption to tourists and residents.
