David Siegel, the project designer, described the proposal and said engineers and a geotechnical consultant are on the team. Siegel explained the drainage work: “the 8 inch pipes that were all out in here are gonna be changed to 15 inch,” and said the larger pipe slows flow velocity and reduces impact on a downstream swale. The plan also would reverse the pitch at one manhole and route foundation drains into manholes rather than through the footprint of the new addition.
Board members asked about DPW coordination and right‑of‑way permits; Siegel said the applicant has been in contact with DPW and the board conditioned approval on DPW approval of the piping relocation. The motion to approve the application contingent on DPW sign‑off passed by voice vote.
