Council awards Adder Ditch North Channel flood‑mitigation bid to DBL Enterprises

The work — included in the FY24 capital improvement plan and funded with CDBG‑MIT grant funds — calls for reshaping and widening the north channel of Theater Ditch, setting grades and improving flow toward US‑90A and ultimately to the Brazos River. Staff said the improvements will be coordinated with related CDBG‑MIT activities and recommended waiving bid irregularities and awarding the contract to DBL Enterprises.
Council voted to award the bid and authorized the city manager to execute the necessary documents.
