Public works reports hydrant repair; clerk cites surge in records requests and utility billing

Public Works told the council that the fire hydrant repair on the corner of Denver Ave "will start soon" and that a resident who trims trees helped remove a limb across a turn lane. City Engineer Antonio Conti also reported ongoing survey recording and an upcoming meeting with Triple Dot Development on a new well and associated cost and 'late comers' agreement, with preliminary plans to require DEQ approval.
City Clerk and Interim Treasurer Loretta Vollmer reported that from the city Google profile numbers and recent activity "4 Burn permits and one Building permit were issued" and that "238 utility bills were issued for $28,634.66." Vollmer added that a recent uptick in public records requests has slowed normal clerk and treasurer duties. Officer Elizabeth McLaughlin added that the police report reviewed by council shows properties cited have so far complied with cleanup.
Council received the reports for the record and did not take further action at the meeting.
