Notus to redraw Area of Impact map for Canyon County public hearing; Sept. 26 submission deadline set

Mayor David Porterfield said the state legislature has made rule changes affecting Areas of Impact and that Canyon County asked cities to submit a new AOI for a county public hearing in October. He told council that "the information must be to the County by September 26th deadline." The City Planner, Antonio Conti, will prepare a new map for council review at the next meeting.
Council did not take a final action at the Aug. 18 meeting; the item is procedural and time-sensitive because of the county deadline. Staff will return with a draft map for council consideration.
