Westminster City Council Adopts Ordinance Tightening Rules on Discharge of Firearms

The Westminster City Council voted unanimously on Nov. 18, 2025 to adopt Ordinance 11-18-2025-01, amending Section 130.45 of the City of Westminster Code of Ordinances regarding the discharge of firearms. The motion passed with all members present voting yes; Adam Dunn and Ruth May were absent.

Councilmember Daby Snipes moved the ordinance on second reading and the motion was seconded by Councilmember Dale Glymph. The ordinance was described on the agenda as an amendment to local regulations governing where and when firearms may be discharged within city limits.
