Notus council approves utility and community-center fee increases effective Oct. 1

The Notus City Council voted on Sept. 2 to adopt several user-fee changes effective Oct. 1, 2025. The minutes record a sanitation fee increase from $16.45 to $16.95 (listed as a 3.035% increase) and a water base-rate increase from $32.62 to $33.92 (4%). The minutes also list a 4% increase to the sewer base rate but report an inconsistent new amount (the minutes state "4% increase to $33.92" while listing the current sewer base as $54.35). The council recorded the motion to adopt the proposed changes on a motion by Councilman Devin Krasowski, seconded by Rob Hartsock; the motion carried with Councilwoman Lupita Connor voting no.
The council also approved new Community Center rental fees and deposit rules: $75 for 1–4 hours, $150 for an 8-hour rental, and a $150 deposit with up to $100 refundable if the facility is left in good order. The minutes state these fee changes are effective Oct. 1; the motion passed on the consent of Krasowski and Hartsock.
