The Chamblee Public Art Commission elected new officers for 2026 during its Feb. 26 meeting, approving a slate of three officials by unanimous vote.
Outgoing chair Britney Harper explained the roles and said she had served two years as chair and could not be re-elected to that position this year. She nominated Shan Willoughby for chair, saying she "has done a great job" and would lead the commission for the coming year. Commissioner Elmer Vyse moved to elect the three officers (Shan Willoughby as chair, Kelsey Tenney as vice chair and Angela Zagora as secretary), Jeremy Gibbs seconded the motion, and the commission approved it unanimously.
The commission discussed the duties briefly: the chair leads meetings and drives project ideation, the vice chair fills in for the chair when absent, and the secretary prepares minutes using the commission's template. The outgoing chair said staff liaison Tanisha performs much of the administrative legwork for projects and event coordination. A ceremonial passing of the gavel was noted; the new chair will preside beginning with the next meeting.
The formal action will be recorded in the commission's minutes and presented to city council as needed.
