Council adopts new wastewater rates effective March 1, 2026

Dell Rapids City Council approved Ordinance 9 51 on Dec. 15 to set new wastewater (sewer) rates beginning March 1, 2026.
Staff described the ordinance as substantially the same as the water rates ordinance and said it had been unanimously approved at first reading. “This is much the same as the water,” the city administrator said, describing the ordinance as a second reading with no changes.
After brief council discussion there were no objections and the council approved the ordinance by roll call. The new sewer rates will take effect on March 1, 2026, consistent with the water billing schedule.
