The Calumet County Planning, Zoning & Farmland Preservation Committee on Feb. 12 voted to forward an Alfred and Janice Kueler Trust map amendment to the County Board with a recommendation for approval. The petition would rezone roughly 8.25 acres along County Trunk HH in the Town of New Holstein from General Agriculture and Single‑Family 20,000 to Heartland (HL). Motion by Budde, seconded by La Tour, to forward the recommendation carried unanimously.
Staff said rezoning to Heartland would remove nonconforming status from existing agricultural buildings on the site and allow them to continue to be used for agricultural purposes; the Town of New Holstein and county staff recommended approval. The committee’s action is advisory to the County Board, which will consider final approval.
