Steubenville Council votes to let police dispose of four vehicles

Steubenville City Council unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 2026-11 on March 17, authorizing the city police chief to dispose of four police vehicles currently at the department lot. Mayor Ralph Petrella declared the ordinance duly adopted after a roll call vote in which all members voted aye.
The ordinance was presented on its third and final reading by the Safety & Health Committee. Council did not take public comment on the item; the measure is scheduled to take effect on April 16, 2026.
