City Manager Jim Mavromatis said he plans to invite a ParkMobile representative to present a pay-by-phone parking system and outline potential revenue to the city. He told council that revenue must be paired with an enforcement plan to be effective and asked staff to check ordinance changes related to enforcement before moving forward.
"Next week, I'd like to bring in a gentleman from a company called Park mobile. And this is a parking company... but there is revenue that comes into the city," Mavromatis said, adding that enforcement and registration mechanics (fines or owner-liability) must be clarified. Councilmember Walker asked whether ordinance changes on enforcement were in place; staff agreed to check and return with details at a subsequent meeting.
