Chamber of Commerce reports higher social engagement, outlines 2026 events

Mark DeGraw, an executive board member of the Dell Rapids Chamber of Commerce, told the City Council on Jan. 20 that recent marketing efforts have produced steady growth in online engagement and attendance at holiday events. "Christmas in the Dells went really well," he said, adding that the tree‑lighting livestream drew about 2,900 views and the Christmas parade livestream more than 4,000.
DeGraw reviewed follower increases on the Chamber's pages and described plans to expand short business‑spot videos and continue podcasts that promote downtown businesses. He also outlined 2026 event dates the chamber has scheduled or planned — the annual banquet on March 7, Quarry Days June 25–28, a downtown dessert‑battle contest in July, and Small Business Saturday November 28 — and invited council members to participate in promotion and planning.
