The Dell Rapids City Council approved a set of contingency transfers and advanced a supplemental budget appropriation on first reading to close out fiscal-year needs.
Finance staff explained Resolution 2025-16 would move money among general-fund accounts to cover categories including finance, government buildings, fire and mosquito control. Council then considered Ordinance 9-49, a supplemental appropriation that shifts approximately $370,000 into the Park Pavilion project (timing differences and grant receipts account for much of the change). The finance presenter said the project itself remains within total project cost and the general fund has the balance to cover the timing offset.
Council voted to approve the contingency transfers and carried Ordinance 9-49 on first reading; staff said additional appropriation details and fund accounting will be available in the regular budget reports.
