The Wilbraham Conservation Commission approved revised Special Conditions for the Town of Wilbraham Sidewalk Project on Springfield Street after reviewing feedback from the Department of Public Works engineer and conservation staff. Key adjustments: the plan allows limited equipment use inside the 100-foot wetland buffer where necessary, and restoration-area reporting was changed to semiannual monitoring for both plantings and soil conditions after installation.
Commission members also recorded that the project will increase impervious surface and could potentially increase runoff, though staff and members noted that no added flooding risk is anticipated under the revised conditions. Joe Cantilini moved to approve the amended Special Conditions; Stoughton Smead seconded the motion and the vote was recorded in favor by Stoughton Smead, Joe Cantilini, James Coletta and Alice Colman.
