Sean Prince walked the board through edits including a color re-designation for Keister roof replacement, a classroom-window item for Keister, the addition of a Waterman fire-alarm upgrade tied to elevator work, and a note about MTC innovation remodel funding being handled by the city in the current school year.
Board members stressed that the CIP is a planning document and not an appropriation; Doctor Cohen moved to approve the plan so the division can begin formal conversations with city staff and align priorities for the 2026–27 planning window. Members raised concerns about inflation since a 2012 expansion study and asked staff to bring updated architectural estimates before committing capital funds. The motion to approve the proposed CIP carried unanimously.
