The Arcadia Unified Board on Feb. 10 received the annual Citizens' Measure A Oversight Committee report describing parcel‑tax revenues and expenditures for the 2024–25 fiscal year and adopted the report by motion.
Matthias Huber, chair of the oversight committee, told trustees the committee met three times in 2024–25 to review income and expenses and "determined that the funds were spent as required." He reported that "the total parcel tax revenue collected in 20 20 four–twenty 5 was $4,452,458" and that total expenditures were $5,389,824, meaning expenditures exceeded revenues by about $937,000; that shortfall was covered by the fund balance built up from prior years, plus one‑time contributions from the district.
Huber also said an independent accounting firm completed its annual audit as of 06/30/2025 and certified compliance with the parcel‑tax requirements. The oversight committee said the trend of expenses exceeding revenues was anticipated and expects to continue; the committee will meet next on 06/01/2026. The board voted to adopt the oversight committee annual report by voice vote.
