DA and sergeant say Axon fits prosecutors' needs; council asks whether alternatives were solicited

Opposing council members said they observed other vendors that appeared to offer similar services and asked why the county sought a sole‑source waiver rather than soliciting an RFP. The DA and Sgt. Stein said other vendors examined were focused on mobile/digital forensics and not built around prosecutor workflows, and they recommended Axon as the prosecutorial fit for the county's needs.
