The amendment passed; the bill as amended then passed the House (clerk recorded 94 ayes, 0 no, 6 absent). Supporters framed HF 2497 as providing clarity and consumer protections for an industry they said is currently a regulatory "wild west." The bill will proceed to the next legislative stage.
