Planning staff recommends, commission approves replat for 7600 Lakeview Parkway

Planning staff presented a replat for 7600 Lakeview Parkway on Jan. 13 and the commission approved the request unanimously.
"I'm Michael King. I'm the senior planner, city of Rowlett," King said while summarizing the replat, which includes an access driveway modification and a reroute of an 8-inch city water main to allow expansion of the existing office building to the northeast. King told the commission that the applicant had addressed staff comments and that provisions had been made for required public improvements.
Applicant Chris Walton, the civil engineer of record, attended and indicated he was available to answer questions. No public input was received during the public hearing and the commission voted to approve the replat 7–0.
Staff indicated the replat is necessary to facilitate subsequent civil-plan approvals and site development review.
