Commissioner Timothy J. Corprew spoke in favor of the increase, saying the tax adjustment was necessary to fund county operations. The motion to adopt the budget was made by Corprew, seconded by Commissioner Kathryn M. Treiber, and carried by a unanimous vote of the board.
