Board re-offers consent agreements and dismisses multiple complaint cases

At its Nov. 6 meeting the Maine Board of Pharmacy re-offered a consent agreement in case 2022‑PHA‑18808 and moved to schedule an adjudicatory hearing for 2023‑PHA‑18848 while also re-offering a consent agreement with a revised no-response clause. "McCormack moved to re-offer a Consent Agreement removing the language about not responding to board staff as requested by company, if not accepted schedule 2022-PHA-18808 for an adjudicatory hearing," the minutes record.
The board also reviewed a batch of recent complaints and took dispositions ranging from dismissal (no evidence of a violation) to offers of consent agreements. Several dismissals were recorded (for example, 2025‑PHA‑20819, 2025‑PHA‑20820, 2025‑PHA‑20839, 2025‑PHA‑20873, 2025‑PHA‑20889, 2025‑PHA‑20893, 2025‑PHA‑20940 and 2025‑PHA‑20941). For some matters Complaint Officer Eric Norberg was recorded as abstaining; Samantha Emmons recused in at least one case.
The board also proposed a consent agreement resolving three cases (2025‑PHA‑20930, 2025‑PHA‑20886 and 2025‑PHA‑20888) that would include a reprimand, a 60‑day suspension of a pharmacist license, a six‑month suspension of the Pharmacist in Charge license, and three years probation with required self‑reporting of dispensing errors; the motion provided that, if the consent agreement is not accepted, the cases will be scheduled for adjudicatory hearings.
